Evan is still a tiny dude. He actually LOST weight in the last 2 1/2weeks. Im a bit worried about that, but other than his weight hes perfect!! He is a sweet little guy, and loves people talking to him.. He rolled over once last week, and hes getting close to sitting on his own. His favoite thing to do is stand! Hes just like Logan was.. We love our little guy and im so blessed to have my 3 beautiful babies!!!!

Evan is doing well! Hes a tiny little guy, and is now on a higher calorie count formula to put some meat on his bones.. But other than his weight issues he is great.. He smiles more and more every day. And just in the last day he has started to "talk" and even a few little laughs, which are just the cutest!! He love to sit up and stand just like Logan did. I'm anxious to see if he is a fast mover like Logan was too.. He hates tummy time, prob because his tummy is so sensitive, and he still is spiting up a lot.. He loves watching his siblings play and loves to be held by his mommy : )

In other news, we bought our first house!!!!!!!!! We closed after 6 crazy months, and LOTS of frustration.. I had to move into a hotel in the end and move our things into a storage unit. But we are in the house and slowly getting settled..

My sweetness is doing well! He has to go back for a follow up appt in a few weeks, to see how his weight is and some other issues. But overall he is doing great. He loves to sit up and look around and he also loves to stand, already.. Hes not the happiest baby, but thats all right i still love him, hehe...

I arrived at the hospital for my induction at 530am on sept 15th. Was brought straight back to my room to get prepped and to do all the paperwork etc... The doctor came in and did a cervical check and a quick u/s to see what kind of induction method would be best.. At that time( about 6-630am) i was 2cm and about 60% effaced but my cervix was still fairly firm.. The doctor had decided that a quarter dose of cytotec(a med used to help ripen the cervix) i s what we would start with. The pill would be inserted and after 2 hour i would be checked and either do another dose or start pitocen and a Foley bulb... So fast forward to about 830 and the cytotec was inserted. I had to lay down for the first hour, and then would be allowed to get up and walk if i wanted.. Well within that hour my contractions started. They were not very strong at that point but i was feeling them.. I got up at about 930 and sat in the rocking chair in the room. I sat there and rocked for about 30mins when i felt a gush. Yep water broke.! The nurse was surprised as thing were defiantly progressing with very little medical intervention.. I continued to labor in the chair and my waters also continued to break.. (this is where time got very blurry) I think at about 11ish i got back in bed. My contractions started to pick up and were 2mins apart at this point. The doctor came in at some point to check me and i think i was about a 5, not sure.. So labor was defiantly in full swing and i did not need any other help(like pitocen, YEA) At some point(maybe 12ish) a nurse(she was not my main nurse) rushed in and told me to turn to my side and put on a oxygen mask, baby's hear rate was dropping.. She was very frantic about it all but after a few mins thin calmed down fort a bit anyways.. I was in extreme pain by this point, and questioning if i could do this naturally.. Baby didn't seem to be tolerating the contractions well at all. I was on oxygen for this whole time. I think it was 1ish when i finally broke down and got my epidural, i just could not do it any longer(i was 7cm when i got the epi. I was having back labor and baby was posterior.. I got my epi fairly quickly and it was a million times better than it was with Logan.. Soon after getting my epi, baby's heart rate was looking worse and not coming back up. So the nurses had to give me a shot to slow down my contractions.. That seemed to help, thank goodness... I'm clueless to what time it is at this point. I just know the nurses where in and out trying to get a reading on baby, but having a hard time. So they decided to put a internal monitor on his head(now this may have happened before i got that shot of meds, i really cant remember. Ya i was that out of it).. So some time passed and i was ready to push this baby out.. I had 3 nurses and 2 doctors in the room for delivery. As they where worried he was very large, and needed to be there to assist if he got stuck. I was warned as to what may happen if he got stuck, and it really freaked me out.. I ended up only pushing through 3 contractions, so about 5mins.. And out came my baby boy.. They whisked him over to the table to make sure he was okay since he looked so bad during labor.. They doc said it looked like he was compressing his cord.. I didn't get to see him for about 15mins, while they did all they needed to do.. My little poop machine, pooped 3 times right after birth, and hasn't stoped since, ha ha... When it was time to get his weight all the nurses and doctors gathered around for the big reveal(everyone thought this boy was gonna be huge like 9-10lbs).. Well he wasn't huge at all, not tiny but just PERFECT! After that i got to hold my sweet boy and we named him...

As of today we are doing well!! Evan ended up losing 20oz(went down to 7lbs2oz) of his birth weight(13%) and was back to his birth weight at 2weeks1day .. He is a tall skinny boy! He is a pretty very easy going little guy.. I'm doing well too. It took just over a week to recover, but I'm feeling good now.. I struggled emotionally, it was really hard the first 2weeks for me.

If there are any typos in this(which im sure there are), just remember i have a newborn, hehe...

I have one lazy and stubborn baby boy.. I have now had 2 anatomy ultrasounds and still have not been able to check everything.. I cant lie that im a tad worried something may be wrong with his heart since thats the organ that we cant see.. I know if there is a problem we will get through it, but i just want to know if my baby boy is 100% healthy.. SO i need lots of positive thoughts that baby will COPPER ATE at my next ultrasound on Tuesday..

I also have gestational Diabetes again, which is totally fine with me.. I did really well with managing it with Logan so i know i can do it again.. And so far i have not had to change my diet at all.. Well since i got preggo i had changed my diet a bit, just due to having major food aversions.. So far all is well, and i can still eat my sweets(even though i really dont eat them much) I have LOST 4lbs since the beginning of this pregnancy, which is awesome since i started off the heaviest i have ever been : ( But anyhow, other than that pregnancy wise. Im feeling better, sick some days but really not bad.. Im feeling him move more and more everyday which is just the most AMAZING feeling......

What else is going on with us.. Coreys been gone for a few weeks and we be back in a month. Hes just in New Jersey for training. I have had some really rough days,but trying to push through.... Logan turned 2 on the 11th, and im still wondering how the heck that happened.. I swear he was just born.... Hes also getting more and more interested with baby. I told him that baby is "cooking" so he will touch my belly and say Baby Cooking, haha... Hannahs doing well.. She is talking more about the baby and doesnt seem to be as upset about having another brother.. She FINALLY graduates kindergarten on the 3rd, and i couldnt be more proud..

This whole pregnancy i had planned on NOT finding out the gender. I though what a wonderful surprise it would be to find out at birth.. And since i have a boy and a girl, i really didnt have a preference.. But the week leading up to my BIG ultrasound, i was struggling BIG time.. I decided that if the ultrasound person got the perfect shot we would find out. And guess what, baby was not shy in the slightest to show off the goods. But baby was awful stubborn, and i have to have another ultrasound get get pictures of the very important stuff like the heart and some other stuff as well. I'm okay with it, cause its a chance to see baby again. Plus we didn't get a profile shot at all. Baby was just to comfy next to my uterus, haha.. Well, anyhow baby is a boy!!!! I was sad at first, cause i knew how badly Hannah wants a sister. I'm excited about having another little man around the house..I'm doing okay. Ill 20weeks tomorrow, and i cant believe how fast its gone. I'm still dealing with some morning sickness and throwing up, but its not nearly as bad as it was....

WOW its March already!! Its been such a crazy 3 months.. We have settled here in cali, well kinda.. And every day I'm here, I'm more glad we got to move close to family and our closest friends.. In my last post i listed some goals/wants for 2011, and some have already happened. 1 of them in particular that i really didn't think would happen this soon is..... I'M PREGNANT!!!! 12weeks1day today. Yes i said it, and the best part is we conceived 100% naturally! SHOCKING, i never ever imagined it would happen.. We have been trying for almost a year, but it happened on its own.. I'm due Sept 20th, and we are very excited and feel extremely blessed... Other than that things are good. Kids are good. Hannah's doing okay in school. Shes adjusting slowly which i expected. She has already spent 5 or 6 nights away from us, which she loved. Logan is blooming socially BIG time. Before we left he rarely talked outside of the house, and did not do well with others. Now he says HI to everyone he sees, and loves going to his grandparents houses.. Anyways, hopefully ill be better at this blog stuff from now on.. Ill leave you with the sweetest pic of the year.....

Happy New Year!!! WOW, i cant believe its 2011 already... This should be a pretty exciting year for us. We are moving back to Cali in about a week and a half, and we are very excited to see all our friends and family.. Im not making any new years resolutions this year. But I'm making of list of things I'm going to work on and things i HOPE happen this year..

Friday we all went out to a trunk or treat for Corey's work. Had a good time and got to take some pics of the kids in there costumes. Logan has been sick though, and got worse Friday, so Last night Corey and Hannah went out trick or treating and Logan and i stayed home and handed out candy. Its gonna be a crazy 6 weeks, since Corey will be working 12 hour days 6 days a week till we leave, but we will somehow manage.. Cant wait to see everyone back home!!!!!

I dont blog much anymore, mainly cause i dont have many readers. But ill give those of you who may want to know whats up with us, here you go : )
Lets see since i have posted last.. We had a pretty good summer that consisted of LOTS of swimming, its WAY too hot here to do anything else. We all real got nice tans.. Hannah turned 6, yes 6... She lost her first tooth(well second, the first was pulled), she started her second year of kindergarten, has started dance and soccer. Logan, has grown into a true toddler. My very mellow loveing son is now a whiny, screaming, climbing monster!!!! Not really but he is defenatly showing another side of his personailty.. He has grown so much, hes still a shrimp with a huge head though, haha... He soo smart, well to us, cause he does so much more than Hannah did.. He just blows us away.. We moved a few weeks ago into base housing. It was stressful but we are glad we did it, we could not afford the other house. We also got 2 new kittens.. Heres some good news for my cali friends, Corey put in for base of preference and we should hear back within the next week if we got a base CLOSE to home. We could be back soon! The best news will be pictured at the end : )

I cannot believe my baby boy is one years old(may 11th). Time went way way too fast.. Hes super smart. Super mobile. Super sweet. And super cute :)
We waited for him for so long and i would go through everything that we did a million times to have him in my life. He is such a blessing, and i love him SO much...

Well not much is going on here in the Shaffer house. Some old boaring stuff. Lets see what has happened since i last posted. On Easter Logan started walking, like fully walking. He is now pretty much running all over. Hes still sweet as ever, but now hes got some chub on his short little body. He will be 1 in 8 days, CRAZY!!!! Not sure what we are doing for his birthday yet..
Hannahs doing well. She had surgery a few days after Easter to get her second set of tubes in her ears and she also had her adenoids removed. Nothing big, and she can hear again. Which is helping her so much in her development. She also had more testing done, and 2 doctors now says she has ADHD. We are NO medacating, but doing other ways to control, like setting a routine being constiant, things like that.. She still is classifed as severly developmentally delayed, and is getting lots of extra help in school.. She can be the sweetest little girl sometimes, she love to be praised for things. She loves Logan till he doesnt something annoying,haha..
Me im good. Been doing lots of photography sessions, and FINALLY making friends. I dont know why i have such a hard time making friends, i guess i can be too shy and dont put myself out there. Oh and the BIGGEST NEWS........... Corey comes home in a few days,yea!!!! I know it will be hard to adjust back to being a family of 4 again, but im so excited to not be a single mommy anymore. And mostly for him to see the kids. To see how much they have changed and grown, mainly logan... Well heres just a couple recent pics of the kids..

Bella, our Kitty, is no longer with us. She went out for her nightly outing last thursday and never came home. Im very sad and i miss her a ton. She was such a feisty and very loveing kitty. She will be in my heart forever. Goodbye Bella you will be greatly missed!

WOW its been a while. Its so hard to take the time nowadays to blog. So not much is going on with us. Hannahs doing okay. She is now getting a lot more help at school so im happy with that. Her teacher is almost positive that she needs to repeat kindergarten. I hate that she will but i know its whats for the best. We are looking into some disorders she may have but it can be years to get a actual diagnosis. But shes improving academically everyday. Im so proud of her, even when she drives me nuts. Im looking foward to when Corey gets back so i can do more one on one things with her.. Shes is sucha sweet girl and loves life(well most of the time).. Logans good too. Hes growing like a weed. His 9month appt is on the 18th and i cant wait to see how big he is. He can stand completley unassisted for up to about minute or so. Hes such a good boy still, very mellow(expect for when hes hungry).. Im doing good. As best as i can. I need a break but i know it wont happen till corey gets home.
Corey will be home in less than 3 months, hopefully.. We are all anxioulsy waiting for that time. Anyways here are a buch of pics going back to as far as christmas time..

I cant believe it has been 6months(last week) since Logan joined our family, time really need to slow down a bit... Logan is doing REALLY well. He was 15lb7oz(10th%)25.75in(25th%) and his head was 17.5in(75th%-big head) His doc LOVES him and every time we see her she says he is such a sweet natured and very special little guy. She said devlopmentaly hes more like a 9 month old. He is almost crawling, hes pulling him self up on things, and hes been sitting on his own for about 6 weeks now. He also got 2 teeth in, they poped through on his 6month b-day. I love him so much and feel so blessed to have in my life! Here are some pics i took on sunday.(theres a lot)

Halloween was fun, We drove down to sourthern Georgia to spend friday and saturday with a friend of ours who was stationed in Germany with us. My friend and i ended up staying up till 6am sat morning. It was nice catching up but we were soo tired ALL day.. WE went to her wards trunk or treat that evening. It was pretty warm out so Logan didnt get to wear his costume too much but i got a few pics of him in it.. We drove home after and all in all had a ggod time!

Its been almost 2 weeks since Corey left for his 6month deployment. At times im fine and others i feel like im going to go CRAZY!! The busiest part of my day is from 530-730pm, and thats when my kids are at the needest,mainly Logan... He gets so mad when im having to get hannah showered and ready for bed. All i can do is let him cry cause theres not much i can do. It just breaks my heart to here him but i know its really not herting him.. But once things settle down i get pretty lonly but im managing to find things to keep me busy. Like my new passion photography and im trying to sell stuff on e-bay.. But anyhow i miss Corey and so does Hannah but we are doing well!!!

Its been awhile since i posted... We went to a so called pumpkin patch a few weeks before halloween. Well it wasnt the best of places, i mean it was nice and they had a big play ground and a corn maze. But the pumpkin patch itselfs was small.. It was pretty wet out that day so we didnt even do the corn maze, but since it was overcast it was a PERFECT day for pictures. Hannah had a blast playing on the playgound and Logan had fun haming it up for the camera and all the people who would walk by(hes a charmer).. So heres a TON of pics i took!!

Logan turned 5 months on sunday, icant believe how fast time has gone. Hes such a good baby. He can roll over from his belly to back and can almost get back to belly. He hates tummy time, but is really starting to scoot. He can sit up all by himslef and stand with some support. Hes the cutest little guy and i love him so much! Here are some pics i took on sunday!

On Saturday the base had a end of summer bash, so we decied to go. It was fun, but way hot and humid! It started out fine but by the end i was grumpy from being hot and Hannah,well she was just falling apart for who knows what reason. She didnt want to leave but it was gonna start raining any minute, and it doesnt just rain here it POORS! So we left and she actually was okay with that, she didnt want to get rained on..

So Logan LOVES to stand all day everyday. We were just hanging out at home playing around and i thought humm i wonder if he can stand on his own and this was the result.

Hannahs First Day of Kindergarten

So im finally getting around to posting these over a month late.. So Hannah started Kindergaten on Aug 4th. She did great! She LOVES school. She really LOVES riding the bus :)
Shes doing okay in school. I think i have mentioned that while she was in sure start last year she had a developmental assistment and they found that she has a delay in her speech. She started reciving services to help improve that and to help her learn some basic educational concepts(like colors, numbers, letters,ect..). So this year the school started her on the same type of thing but her teacher feels she needs more help as i do too. Also at her 5yr well check her pedi thinks she also has some gross motor delays. so we are in the process of getting her another full assisment to figure out whats going on.. Because of this Hannah is considered a special needs child and we are now limited on where we can be stationed. We actually should have never left Germany the way we did and shouldnt have come here. If they find she needs to see a specialist the closest one is 1 1/2hours away, thats way far.. But we will see, its been a bit stressful figuring all this out but things are heading in a good direction. Anyways, she was way to excited on her first day so the pics are her being kinda goffy..

Well about a month ago we adopted 2 baby girl puppies and last weekend we got a kitten. W have a full household, but we couldnt be happier..
~Scarlett. She is the smaller of the 2, but shes defenatly the leader.
~Finley, we have changed her names 3 times so this one mite not stick,haha..

The doc said hes doing really well . Hes very strong and right were he should be devolpmentaly.. He rolled over 2 times last night and then once for the nurse today... Hes gonna have a hearing test done just to make sure hes hearing fine. I had mentioned to his doc that hes not talking as much as he was last month so given Hannah had some hearing issues we are gonna check to make sure.. The doc said he could start rice cereal but im gonna wait till he acts like he needs it or just wait till 6months. His skin issue is just a skin problem not related to a milk allergy so im to just keep up with his creams to help control it and thats all we can do.. He did okay with his shots. I was feeding him while he got them done and that helped a little. Hes been asleep since he finished his bottle so we will see how he feels as the day goes on..So all in all my baby boy is perfect!

One year ago today

One year ago today i found out i was pregnant with Logan.... I remember it being such a bitter sweet day as my due date for my angle baby was 5 days away.. I have been thinking a lot about that baby and how i could have a 1 year old walking around all over the place. As much as i miss that baby i really could not imagin my life any different. I love Logan more than life and im so grateful for him and the love he has for me.. Time goes by way too quickly.. Logan will be 4 months old tomm and i dont even know where the time went. Hes such a sweet boy and i love watching him change and grow and do new things everyday. Hes such a turley amazing blessing!!!

Wow its been awhile since i have posted. Ill get busy with more in the next few days but ill start with one about Logan...
Logan is 3months old now(14weeks tomm)
11 1/2lbs and 23in(15th% and 20th%).. Hes a peanut but a strong little boy.. He LOVES to stand and look around at everthing.. We bought him a bumbo and a jumparoo, and he likes them both but he likes the jumparoo more. Hes a very sweet baby and loves everyone! He sleeps very well now and im so glad!! I cant believe hes 3months now, it just seems like yesterday we were dealing with all our fertility issues and here we are blessed with a beauitful baby boy. I cant believe its been 6weeks(yesterday) since Logan has arrived. He has changed so much already. Still waiting for him to start smiling. I got a few but i want more! WOW life has been so crazy theses last few weeks(well really 4weeks since Logan was born).. We had the movers/packers come 3 days last week, and that was so crazy! So glad to have that done with. I miss our bed and couches but at least they have stuff we can barrow and we dont have to sleep on the floor. We still have a TV and a dvd player so that keeps us entertained.. We shipped pur car out yesterday and are down to just the Van.. I already miss having 2 cars and the freedom it brings. We are selling the van next week and will rent a car for a week. We move into the base hotel on Sunday the 21st and after that things should settle down.
Corey tested for Staff Sgt on Monday we should know in Aug if he passed, im PRAYing he does. It comes with a pay raise and we need that monwy so badly. Being here in Germany we make a LOT more money cause of the eruo difference, so when we move back to the states we will loss about 600-700$ a month(and yes we use all of that money).. So we are really hoping he makes Staff! Hannahs done with sure start and will be starting Kindergarten on Aug 4th. I cant believe my baby girl will be 5 years old and be starting kindergarten. Its so crazy how fast they grow! We have a lot of work to do with her this summer. Shes not ready for kindergarten but her teachers feel that she should start anyways. We are hoping that by the end of the school year she will have caught up learning wise.. Logans doing well. He had a doc appt a few days ago and he has a clogged tear duct.. Its nothing bad, just not pretty. He gets build up all over his eye, and it looks like it mite be happining in the other eye as well.. He hasnt gained much weight in 4 weeks, just a pound, so he 8lbs4oz. For some reason my kiddos grow slowly. He so skinny though. We have a few pairs of pants that he cant wear cause they fall right off. I think he will out grow them in lenght before he can ever wear them.. He sleeps way to much in the day time still. So nights have been a bit hard. But thankfully Hannahs old enough that i can take naps if i need to. But since we have been so busy i have only gotten in a few, so im pretty tired. But im just so happy and grateful that Logan is finally in our family, we waited for him for so long.. He had his ultrasound to check his kidneys today, an we should know in a week or so if all is fine.. As for me im doing well.. My back is finally getting back to normal. I had a bad experince with my epi and my back hert a lot! Thats about it for now. For those of my friends who are in Sac, we should be home on July 2nd. I have a good feeling that Logans passport will be here in time. So if we need to set up some dates(for those of you who are busy) lets do that soon. Weekends are booked with our familys since they all work. But weekdays are totally free. I think we will be there till July 17th. Well i dont have time to edit this, so if there are typos and such just deal,haha!!

Was yesterday. Hes actually 2 1/2 weeks, but anyhow... Things went well. His weighs 7lbs13oz and is 21 1/4ins(25th% for both).. I dont think i have mentioned this, but his left ear is slightly deformed(pic below). Well when i told the doc about it he said he will put in for a ultrasound of his kidneys. He said that the kidneys and ears form at the same time so he wants to make sure his kidneys are fine. His circumcision went great. The doc who did his is really good at them, an he said it turned out great... Logans doing good so far, he slept and cryed a lot since he had it done, but seems to be feeling better today.. Hes been congested for a week or so so they gave me some nasal spray to, so i hope that helps him breathe a bit easier.. So all in all hes a healthy little boy...

Well i woke up to go pee at about 145am on monday may 11th and when i wiped there was a ton of mucous and some blood.. I really tried to not read into it, so i just went back to bed. Well about 15mins later the contractions started.. I lied in bed for 30mins timing and they were def about 2 mins apart.. So i got up and decided to call my mom. I REALLY didnt think this was it, so i thought i could call her(shes 9hours behind me in time so it was still mother day in Cali) and she could keep my mind off the contractions.. But the contractions kept getting stronger and longer(2mins apart 1min in length), my mom and step day timed me... So after about a 30mins of being on the phone with my mom, i gave in and said its time to go to the hospital.. Got up called my friend who lives 2 doors down to come over, and i packed my bag and we were off to the hospital.. I was hooked up to the monitors at 330am, and about 10mins later the nurse came in to check me and i was 2-3cm, i was so releaved. She was like well your NOT going home.. The contractions were really starting to get bad, so i was like can i get my epi.. i had to wait to get my blood drawn and for the results to come back. That all took about 1 1/2 hours.. At that point im just sreaming and crying in pain( i said im gonna die, LOL), and my body was starting to push..The nurse checked me and i was 7cm. I could not believe i had progressed that quickly.. Finally the epi was here, and we started to get that set up. The epi doc was a jerk, and it took almost 10mins to get it in. He said it was my fault cause i wouldnt round out my back. I was thinking well you try doing that while having massively painful contractions.. But after about 10mins of the meds starting i felt the relief. I still felt TONS of preussure, but the pain was minimal. So i labored for about another hour(at this point time is blurry) and was starting to feel the pain and the pushing again, so i was asked for more epi. The nurse had to check me first, and i was still a 7.. I was a little dissapointed, but it had only been about 4hours, so it was okay. About an hour later i was needing more meds, and DH went to go for a walk.. The nurse came in and i asked for more meds, and when she checked me i was fully dialated and ready to push. She asked were DH was and i told her he went for a walk, she was like oh no not now,haha, it was funny.. But he came in after a few mins. I stared pushing and really thought i was gonna die, but 4 contractions later Logan was out. Not tears!!! The nurse and midwife were awesome!! So overall i was in laobr for about 5hours.. It was VERY painful but it was short.. They checked logan all out and then put him on my chest. They checked out the placenta said itt all looked good, but it was big.. After about 30mins of holding logan, they came back in to do his weight and ect... He ended up scoring a 9/10/10 on his apgar, weighed 7lbs4oz and was 21ins(but im pretty sure that the length was very wrong).. They took some blood and gave him back to me.. His blood sugar levels were great right after birth(i had gestational diabetes).. After an hour the results came back and he had low oxygen in his blood. So they said he needed to be put in the incubator.. Well that ened up not being enough, and he couldnt keep up his levels on his own at this point. The called the pedi they have on call(she doesnt actually work in the hospital and they dont have a nicu).. I auctally went to the bathroom when all this happened, and when the nurse brought me back to the room, i saw the big transport bed in the room.. They told me the pedi was coming and see what was going on. She got there and gave him some extra oxygen, and that helped.. They were all happy about the results.. His blood sugar then droped really low, so they needed to give him a bottle. Didnt help gave him more and his levels went up... Well at some point the nurse and a midwife came back and were giving him more oxygen and brought the transport bed back in.. I was starting to worry.. Oh and DH was not here the whole time, he went to do some things and pick up Hannah from school... But after a few mins they took the transport bad back out, and i never saw it again.. He stayed in the incubator for about 4 in ahalf hours.. They called the pedi to come back and check him out. They drew some more blood(from his head) to check for any kind of in feection.. But the nurse then got him dressed and had me hold him while he was being monitored, and he was keeping his levels up on his own. And after that we were both taken to the post partum ward... So thats about it.. After minor complations all was fine... The after birth pains were pretty bad those first 3 days, so i was asking for pain meds all the time. Logan and i were realsed on Wed May 13th. But i was to watch myself for any sign of fever or sickness. When i was having my exam the doc pressed on my uteras and it HERT pretty bad, and he said that isnt normal. It could be a infection, and if i had a fever to go straigth back to the hospital, cause if i wait to long i could die.. Well thankfully i didnt and im here and so in love with my new baby boy!!!
As of today, im feeling all better.. Tired still, we have been extremely busy, since we are moving back to the states in less than 6weeks.. Logan is great! Hes such a sweet boy, very clam.. Doesnt cry too much, and its a soft cry.. His cord fell of yesterday, so i was able to give him a bath, he didnt like it! He had a weight check on friday and he was 7lbs, and today he is 7lbs 6oz. So hes gaining nicley.. Well when he was measured toady he was only 19 3/4 in, so i have no idea how long he is, since at birth they said he was 21in.. I think todays measurent is more correct, but we will see next week at his first real appt. Hes looks so tiny to me, either way.. He will also get snipped at that appt too... Well thanks for reading! i still cant believe that after 3 years and everthing i went through hes here! Its so wonderful! i feel so blessed!!!

Was born on Monday May 11th.. He was 7lbs4oz and 21in... Hes a tall and skinny boy, and such a joy! We didnt get home till yesterday night(weds) and have so much to do to get him in-processed to the military world.. I will hopfully have time tomm to get a birth story on here.. I will say it was a fast but very intense labor!!!! Heres a few pics of my beautiful baby boy!!! And yes he looks like Hannah, just a different nose!

Im so happy today! We have been waiting since September for Hannah to be assesed by the school in a few areas of her development. And we finally have the results! She officaly has a developmental delay in communication. She also has some basic academic delays aswell. Her teacher doesnt understand why she has these other issues(not knowing her colors, numbers, and letters, which they work on EVERYDAY). But she is getting extra help with a specialist, and we are very glad. She will get 2 hours of extra help a week! I feel so blessed to have Hannah in my life. She is such a special little girl! She knows how to brigten your day when you feel down. She tells me she loves me a MILLON times a day. And her hugs and just so filled with love and joy! I want her to have the best in life and to accomplish anything she sets her mind to. So having this oppertunity is going to insure her a better future!

I finally feel like i look preggo, and it only took 8months..

Things are good with the pregnancy.. Feeling more and more pregnant everyday. Its hard to sleep and my back herts all the time.. But all in all things are great! Hannahs having some issues this week with throwing up.. She acts fine one minute and then she throwing up the next, its odd.. Shes been home from school all week too.. I didnt realize how much i like her being in school, till i have her home all day..
We should have actual orders sometime next week. Which means we can start doing things for the move, like get plane tickets! So hopfully on a week or so we will know when we are leaving here, and all my friends back home can start to plan some time to hang out with me,hehehe!! Well thats it for now.

Yep we are moving to Robins AFB, Georgia!!! We found out on Saturday, it took all weekend to get excited about it.. We could have maybe switched bases to Maryland, but i think georgia will be better for us.. Its has lower cost of living, so if we want to live off base we can afford to! Its sunny and warm. The humitity will take some getting used to, but we will manage.. So all in all im happy with our new assignment. We have 2 years there and hopefully we will be able to mive back to Cali!! We dont know what will happen, but we can hope. We will came home a visit this summer. We hope to leave Germany on July 1st, but it all depends on well at lot of things.. Lets just all pray that this baby comes EARLY!!!!! That will make things a lot less stressful.. We are just happy to be going back in the states, and have those things that we miss so much, like TARGET! LOL!

I had a doc appt on Wednesday and i finally got some more pics of baby.. We still think hes a boy, but he was very shy this time.. Its no biggie since i have doc appt every 2weeks and will get ultrasounds everytime.. So we are bound to get a good look at the goods. But all is good, hes healthy and perfect! Im doing good too. The gestational diabetes is under control for the most part. And i have lost weight, which is totally fine since i have plenty of weight to start out with.. Other than that things are good here.. Gestational diabetes

I have gestational Diabetes!!! So far i have everthing under control, and im eating foods that is keeping my blood sugar in check.. I did have some really really rough days the last few weeks. Due to very low blood sugar i went to the ER once and was really sick for about a week!!! All is well now, and i know what to do to keep my levels were they should be. My specalist said as the pregnancy goes on it can get worse so i just need to be careful and watch when and what i eat.. I do have to check my blood 4 times a day for the rest of this pregnancy.. It so hard to remember but i know its very important... Next appt and ultrasound is on the 7th and we will hopefully know for sure if this is a boy like the doc thinks or if hes wrong!!

Well not a 100% sure, but the doc thinks its a BOY!!!!! I still think its a girl, but we have ultrasounds every month so we will know for sure next month... Either way we are just happy that were having a healthy baby.. Now if only i can saty healthy.. I had a glucose test today, to check my insulin levels(i do have insulin restiance) and they were NOT good. I have to do the 2hour GT on thurs and will find out what will happen after that.. But anyhow, looks like a boy for the Shaffers(maybe,haha)...

Well today was offically my last appt with my fertility specalist.. All went very well!! I have been a mess this last week. Full of fear and anxiety, that we woulnd find the baby alive at todays appt. But things are all better, and i feel like a new person.. The baby is Great!!! It has arms,legs and a beating heart!!! Corey and i couldnt be happier right now!!! Well here is another pic of him/her(i think her)..
We have our first appt with our Ob on monday. We went to this doc with the last pregnancy, and really liked him. Now if i can only start looking pregnant!!!!

Hormone Fun!!!

Ya so, my low hormone(low progestrone), and having to take supplements is just so much fun!! First off its NOT taken down my throat, if you know what i mean! Ya so thats not fun. It causes all kinds of fun things!! And secondly the sickness it adds! I didnt have very much sickness with Hannah, so this is a change for me.. Im happy to deal with anything i need to take or deal with to keep this baby healthy! Well i just had to complain for a minute. Now im over it!!! My next ultrasound is on Monday. Its still with my fertility specalist, so i will have my levels checked again and of course a ultrasound.. I have to say im preparing for the worst,but hoping for the best... So lets all pray that this baby will be okay!! Well other than pregnancy stuff, things are going good!!! I HATE HATE having to get up a 7am to take Hannah to sure start, and i have to admit that she has missed several days of school because im tired and sick.. Corey takes her when he can, which is maybe one day a week!. She LOVES LOVES school, its so cuts cause she starting to tell me things shes learning. Like to night, she puts her hands behind her back and starts singing "were is pinky were is pinky, here i am", it was so cute!. We didnt understand her at first, but eventually figured it out! Nothing else going on here, just hanging out!

We went in for another ultrasound today, and we only found one baby!! Im a little sad that we wont be having two babies, but im aslo very glad that we saw a heartbeat!!! I also found out that my hormone levels are pretty low and i will need supplements to keep the baby healthy and growing. The nurse i talked to said everything will be fine, but after having a miscarrige this year i cant help but worry.. I will defentaly be taking it easy for the next few weeks, till we can get back in to see a doc to see if our baby still has a beating heart! Seeing that babys heartbeat today, was one of the most wonderful moments in my life!! Im truley gratful for that!!! Well here is baby Shaffer #2 first pic!

My doc found 2 sacs yesterday, so we are gonna have TWINS!!!!!!! We didnt get a pictures, but i go back in 2 weeks and hopfully we will get one then... We are all beyond excited and a little nervous! I know its still really early in this pregnancy so anything can happen.. But im staying positive and hopeful. Thats all i can do i guess.

Well after a long hard road we are finally Pregnant again!!! We found out last week while my Mom and Kim were here. We are very excited and Nervous! For those who dont know our story, we have been trying to have another baby for over 2 years. We did concive in Decemember but we lost that baby in Feb, i was 11 weeks pregnant. We started seeing a fertility specialist in June and after some testing found out that it wasnt just me that has some issues. So when we went into this cycle we added Intrauterine Insemination along with the Injectables meds we started in June. We were very blessed that it worked!! I had a ulrasound and bloodwork done on Friday and everything checkout GREAT!!! I have another ultrasound on Tuesday, and we should see how many sacs are in there.. We do have a good chance of Twins(or maybe more)... Im so hoping for Twins, but i will be so grateful for whatever Heavenly father blesses me with! Are due date Should be May 22, 2009!!! Since we are supose to leave in the begining of July, I mite go back home to Sacramento to have this baby, but we have not decided yet.. Well i want to thank everyone for their love and support during this hard road! I love you all!!

Well it looks like the month of September is going to be a fun filled one for the Shaffer family!! My mom and Kim are coming out to visit, they get here on Tuesday!!! We are ALL soooo excited that they are coming! We will be doing some sightseeing and visiting my moms family as well.. They are only here for 11days so im sure it will go by way too quickly!
Hannah starts sure start this month as well. She starts friday, but the following week she wont be there since we will be doing stuff with my mom.. We are very glad she got into this program. She needs a lot of help catching up with some development delays she has. So when she starts kindergarten next year she want be behind..
We also have a sad day coming up very soon! Sept, 15th would be my due date! It will be a bittersweet day for me. We mite be getting some good news that day, but i will update on that later:)~(if it happens).. Im sure with my mom here it wont be so hard, so im so gratful that she will be here.. On a side note, we have 10 months till we go back to the states, YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really hope we get somewhere close to my family and friends back in Sac, i love you all!!!!!!!!!!!!! And miss you SOOOO Much!!!!

Hannah and i went to our friends house the other night. And we were going through her makeup and Hannah LOVES makeup, so she put some eye shadow on her. Hannah picked like 6 different colors and she looked so funny and kinda scary.

Well we finally had some warm days so Hannah and i went out and bought a new pool since our other one got all messed up. Anyways, Hannah and i had fun sitting outside in the sunshine. We even got a little bit taner,haha..

So im watching my good friends girls(ages 15months and 4months) and Hannah just cant get enough of the baby. Shes gonna be such a GREAT big sister some day!!!!

Well lifes been pretty slow for us the last few weeks. I tired to get a flight home on Saturday, but there where no sets ava, suckie!!! Coreys going to North Carolina for some training next week for a week then going to Sacramento for a week. So if anyone wants to see him e-mail me or call and we can set up a date! Hannahs doing well, shes growing like a weed. Im doing okay, trying to find a job. I havnt had any luck yet. Hopfully i will find out something on Friday. I found out a few weeks ago that i have PCOS(polycycstic ovarian syndrome)and hypothryoidism. Im on meds for them both and im feeling better all around. I have lost 10lbs because of the meds, so im happy about that.. Well thats about it for us for now, i hope all is well with everyone!!!

I hope everyone had a nice 4th!! We were really missing everyone and all the fun partys back home. But we managed to have a nice day. We bbq some hamburgers and ate outside and let Hannah run and play. We went to base around 9 and ran into a family from church. Hannah had a blast playing with the little boys while we waited for the fireworks. Hannah loved the fireworks, she was oohing and awwing while they were going on, it was cute!

4 years ago today, i held my beautiful baby girl in my arms for the first time.. I cannot believe how fast the time has past. Hannah is such a liitle lady now. So grown up!!! I miss those days were i could just sit and hold her all day. Now shes too busy doing this and that.. We had a birthday party for her yesterday and she had so much fun. For the past few days she has been running around the house singing "happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me". I just want to cry when she does things like that.. This morning she opened her presents from us and in a few hours we will be taking her to go see Kung-fu Panda!! This weekend was just so much fun!!!

~This is our Street. All the house are on one side. There is a park on the left of the pic i just couldnt get a good pic of it.
~And this is our house. There is 3 levels. We are the middle. Our entrance is all the way in the back. We have a yard and a big patio. I will try and get some better pics when we finish up the house.

Hannah had her spring dance recital last month. She looked so dang cute in her costumes. She actually danced this year. Last years recital she just stood there. No matter what she looked cute..

Hannah LOVES to go out and ride back and forth out on our patio. We try to go out anytime the weather is good and stay out for at least an hour. Shes such a big girl!!!

Our Angel

I thought i write a little about our little angel in heaven. We had struggled for a year in a half to concive our second child. With the help of a fertility durg called Clomid. We found out that i was pregnant on january 12th. I was in shock at first but about a week later we were lucky enough to have our first appt. Here in Germany we get to have ultrasounds at every appt. So we got to see our little baby bean, Corey even said he saw the heartbeat. We scheduled our next appt for Feb 22 i would be 10weeks4days. We went in having no idea anything was wrong. Durning the ultrasound the doctor got very very quite, which is not like him. Hannah had come along with us so she could bond with us durning what should have been such a happy time. Well it wasnt till Hannah said she had to go potty that we had relized something was very wrong. Corey got up to take her to the bathroom when the doc told Corey that he shouldnt leave and told me to get dressed. My heart broke at that very second. I knew i was not going to be having a baby any longer. He had found no hearbeat and told us to come back on Monday to check again. We had all weekend to think and process. We went back in on monday and was told that the baby still had no heartbeat. So that day, February 25, 2008 all are hope and dreams were gone. 2 days later i had sugery to remove the baby. That was it, he was gone. That whole pregnancy,well the 3months i was pregnant, i really thought it was a boy.. We will forever remember our angle. We are so grateful to have been blessed with him, even if it was only for 3 months. Today a little over 3 months later. I still think about that experience everyday. But life has gone on and were dealing with it. I have faith in our Lord that this happened for a reason. There is a plan for us all, and though i wish my baby was still with me im grateful for the things that i have gone through. I will be with my lost baby someday.. Goodbye sweet angel, mommy and daddy and your big sister love you for always.

After the gardens we drove to the beach. It was only 15mins away so we knew we couldnt pass it up. Hannah had a BLAST!! There was a little girl there and they kept running back anf forth up the water. She got so wet and pooped her pants and walked up the beach bare bumed. Everyone who saw got a good laugh.

Kuckenhof Gardens

We decided to go back to Holland to the Kuckenhof gardens again this year. The flowers are only in bloom 2 months a year(april-may). The weather was so nice and we had a lot of fun!

Hannah wasnt very interested in taking pictures so we only got a few good ones, silly girl.
